ENG: Can you believe it’s already Christmas in a month? From this period on everyone is focusing on the end of the year and all the parties, gifts and resolutions. I have no plans whatsoever and continue on the ”see what will come my way” vibe going on. Mainly because I literally have no idea what will come and some events in this year has made me realise that. Anyways, I don’t want this to be a deep posts about life, but I tend to reflect so much when I’m starting a blog post blank ;). I enjoy trying to put on fun outfits again when I go for shoots, because I do still want to give you ideas of how you can wear certain items like this velvet playsuit. #ONMAYBODY: Dress from Zara, Coat and Choker  from Imagine by Kim, Overknee boots from Sacha | Pictures by Jennie

ENG: When I saw this velvet wrapped dress at Zara I didn’t hesitate to buy it, even though it was a large. I couldn’t risk not having it at all! I was so in love haha. Two days later I went back and saw more sizes hanging so happy me, I got them in my right size. This is how I would wear the dress ”casually”, but my definition of casual could be already a bit over the top. The white teddy coat that I am wearing is from Imagine, which is perfect for this cold weather.

NL: Toen ik dit fluwelen omslagjurkje bij de Zara zag aarzelde ik geen seconde om hem te kopen. Hij was er alleen in een large verkrijgbaar, maar ik kon het niet riskeren om hem niet te hebben. Ik ging twee dagen later terug en gelukkig hadden ze meerdere maten, dus ik was super blij. Dit is hoe ik hem ”casual” draag, al is mijn definitie van casual vaak al iets meer over de top. De witte teddy jas komt van Imagine en is echt perfect voor de koude dagen.

ENG: Hey girls and guys! It’s been a while that I have posted, but I was just not in a outfit shoot mode since the weather is so awful. When I did take pictures it was more for work and more for Instagram, so it is not really blog-worthy! There have quite been things happening for the past weeks, but the one I am going to share is that I was at the MTV EMA’s. That was so awesome! I got to see Green Day playing American Idiot which was my favourite song 10 years ago. So my teenage dream came true.. how cool is that?! I started it with going to the red carpet. Unfortunately I was standing outside and made clear that when Joe Jonas or Green Day came, I would turn in to a crazy fan and push everyone away. I didn’t want to make a hassle so in the end I got a close up picture from Joe, and Green Day didn’t came to our place because it was raining……. boo! Then I stood in front of of the stage where they gave out the awards. It was a really fun evening!

• Besides that I have been keeping up with my own deal of doing some sports at least once a week, so it is a slow progress – but a progress! I either go to the gym, participate with a bootcamp or go for a 5k run. So I have options and no excuses!
• I have coloured my hair lighter! It was in the beginning a bit grey, but I’m in a slow progress of getting it lighter again.
• Got to shoot pictures at a party, for friend Gerson (and video check it out here)
• Meet up with lots of friends and new people – soo thankful for this!
• I have been to England to buy the new collection for work. I’m so grateful with my job, it is so much fun! Which takes me to the next subject….

New clothes! Working in a store where you can pick out the collection isn’t always that good for my bank account, but I have scored so many good items recently! So there are still bunch of items I want to shoot and show you. For example this lammy coat, skirt and boots I’m wearing on the pictures are new. When it is not raining and I can find someone to shoot pictures with/for me, I will have more outfits to show you! For now, see you back very soon! xxxx

NL: Hallo meiden en jongens! (ja, ja mijn Google Analytics zeggen dat er ook veel mannen mijn blog bekijken!). Het is alweer een tijdje dat ik wat gepost hebt, maar ik was eerlijk gezegd gewoon niet echt een ”outfit schieten” bui. Het weer werkt ook niet mee. De foto’s die ik heb geschoten, waren meer voor werk of meer instagram waardig. Er zijn wel een aantal dingen gebeurd de afgelopen weken en een van de dingen is dat ik naar de MTV EMA’s geweest ben. Het was echt weer geweldig. Ik heb Green Day ”American Idiot”  live zien spelen, wat echt mijn favoriete nummer was 10 jaar geleden. Nooit gedacht dat ik dat nog live zou mee maken, en ik ging daarom ook he-le-maal los. Als enige ook volgens mij, maar goed.

De avond begon bij de rode loper waar ik helaas buiten stond. Ik zei nog duidelijk tegen iedereen dat als Joe Jonas en Green Day zou komen dat ik echt een goede foto wilde schieten. De crazy fan girl zou echt naar boven komen, maar ik dacht laat maar, ik ben hier te oud voor en wil geen ruzie haha!! Ik heb uiteindelijk wel een goede foto van Joe kunnen maken en Green Day wilde niet naar ons komen, omdat het op dat moment regende… boohooo. Ik stond tijdens de show voorin waar de awards werden uitgereikt, dus dat was echt super vet. Ik heb echt genoten!

• Daarnaast heb ik de afgelopen weken aan mijn eigen deal gehouden, dat ik minstens één keer in de week ga sporten. Ik ga dan of naar de sportschool, meedoen aan bootcamp of 5km hardlopen. Ik heb keuzes dus ook geen excuus om het niet te doen!
• Heb ik mijn haar lichter geverfd. Het was in het begin zelfs een beetje grijzig! Ik ga langzamerhand steeds lichter.
• Ik heb foto’s geschoten op een feest, voor een vriend Gerson (en video, bekijk het hier)
• Met vrienden afgesproken en nieuwe mensen ontmoet – zo dankbaar voor dit!
• Ook ben ik naar Engeland geweest voor werk om de nieuwe collectie in te kopen. Oh, ik ben zo blij met mijn baan, het is zó leuk! Wat mij weer naar het volgende onderwerp brengt…

Nieuwe kleren! Oké, werken in een kledingwinkel helpt mijn stopverslaving niet, aangezien ik zelf mag meebepalen wat er in de winkel komt. De laatste tijd heb ik echt goede dingen gescoord en wil ze echt nog allemaal laten zien. Bijvoorbeeld deze lammy jas, rok en laarzen die ik op de foto’s draag zijn nieuw. Wanneer het niet regent en ik iemand kan vinden om mee te shotten, dan zal ik echt meer outfits laten zien. Voor nu, tot snel! xxxx

ENG:  part of work is that I get to help deciding what we will get in store. Yesterday we went to frange to buy in the new fall collection. On the road back we took pictures for the store and I had the idea to do it at a gas station. I always wanted to do that so I love that Kim is on the same page as I am! The collection is available in store and online today Xo

NL: Het leuke gedeelte van werk is dat Ik mag meebepalen wat er in de nieuwe collectie komt. Gister gingen we naar Frankrijk om dit te doen. Op de terug weg hebben we wat foto’s geschoten met de nieuwe items. Ik wilde altijd al eens een keer bij een tankstation schieten, dus ik ben zo blij dat Kim er hetzelfde over denkt. De nieuwe herfst collectie is vandaag beschikbaar in de winkel en online! Xo

#ONMAYBODY: Dress from Tobi*, Hat from Zara, Fluffy vest from Imagine by Kim, Boots from Loblan via Nelson*

ENG: How awesome are these western high boots from Loblan?! It is a challenge to wear these in The Netherlands, since I don’t want to look like a real cow girl. If I lived in a sunny place (ahum LA) I would wear them every day with shorts. But this is how I made my first look with the boots with a autumn-ish dress and fluffy vest from Imagine. Tonight me and my girlboss will head to Paris to get the new collection for the store. Super excited for this mini trip. Follow my snapchat (ohmaygodd) for more vlog-like updates!

NL: Hoe cool zijn deze western hoge laarzen van Loblan? Het is een kleine uitdaging voor mij om ze hier in Nederland te dragen, aangezien ik niet als een echte cow girl wil uitzien. Als ik op een warme plek woonde (kuch kuch LA), zou ik deze elke dag met shorts dragen. Dit is de eerste look die ik heb gemaakt met de laarzen, een herfstactige jurk met een fluffy vest van Imagine. Op de Nelson blog lees je meer over hoe ik de hoge laarzen trend combineer. Vanavond ga ik met mijn girlboss naar Parijs om te nieuwe collectie in te kopen voor de winkel. It’s always good to have a statement piece to finish off a “boring” look. I got this awesome vest from Imagine and shot these pictures quickly after I shot a mini look book for the store with my lovely colleague Veerle.

ENG: Working at Imagine gives me the opportunity to be creative when it comes to photography. Since I started taking pictures around nine years ago, I never pushed myself to be better. Time for a change! Here are some pictures I shot for the store’s social media. Since about two weeks I own a new flasher, so I could test it on Veerle, the store’s model. Today I will be shooting at a wedding, exciting!

NL: Werken bij Imagine geeft mij de mogelijkheid om lekker creatief bezig te zijn als het om fotografie gaat. Ongeveer negen jaar geleden begon ik met foto’s schieten, maar heb mijzelf nooit echt gepusht om beter te worden. Tijd voor verandering! Hier zijn een aantal shots voor de winkels’ social media account. Ik heb sinds twee weken een flitser, dus ik kon hem lekker uittesten op Veerle ons modelletje. Vandaag ga ik op een bruiloft fotograferen, spannend!

ENG: What I enjoy about my job at Imagine is that I get to help girls and women to find their outfits, create pictures for the social media and having fun colleagues. People ask me if I don’t get tempted by all the nice clothing we are selling. Of course I get tempted! But my wardrobe is too full now, got rid of bunch of stuff, which made me more critical on what to buy when it comes to clothing. Luckily I can just borrow these clothes to style it the way I would like to wear things. I’m keeping the crochet top though, because it is amazing for the warm holidays that I am planning on somewhere in my lifetime haha!
NL: Wat ik het fijne vind aan mijn werk bij Imagine is dat ik meiden en vrouwen kan helpen om outfits te vinden, foto’s maken voor social media en leuke collega’s heb. Mensen vragen mij vaak of ik niet alles van de winkel wil kopen. Het antwoord is natuurlijk JA, maar mijn kledingkast is nu te vol en ik heb heel veel dingen weggedaan. Hierdoor ben ik wel iets kritischer geworden als het gaat om kleding. Gelukkig mag ik de kleren lenen om foto’s te maken voor mijn blog. Natuurlijk koop ik de spulletjes die ik echt te gek vind, zoals deze crochet top. Die ga ik echt zeker wel dragen op een zonvakantie die ik nog ooit ga boeken haha!
