ENG: Hey girls and guys! It’s been a while that I have posted, but I was just not in a outfit shoot mode since the weather is so awful. When I did take pictures it was more for work and more for Instagram, so it is not really blog-worthy! There have quite been things happening for the past weeks, but the one I am going to share is that I was at the MTV EMA’s. That was so awesome! I got to see Green Day playing American Idiot which was my favourite song 10 years ago. So my teenage dream came true.. how cool is that?! I started it with going to the red carpet. Unfortunately I was standing outside and made clear that when Joe Jonas or Green Day came, I would turn in to a crazy fan and push everyone away. I didn’t want to make a hassle so in the end I got a close up picture from Joe, and Green Day didn’t came to our place because it was raining……. boo! Then I stood in front of of the stage where they gave out the awards. It was a really fun evening!

• Besides that I have been keeping up with my own deal of doing some sports at least once a week, so it is a slow progress – but a progress! I either go to the gym, participate with a bootcamp or go for a 5k run. So I have options and no excuses!
• I have coloured my hair lighter! It was in the beginning a bit grey, but I’m in a slow progress of getting it lighter again.
• Got to shoot pictures at a party, for friend Gerson (and video check it out here)
• Meet up with lots of friends and new people – soo thankful for this!
• I have been to England to buy the new collection for work. I’m so grateful with my job, it is so much fun! Which takes me to the next subject….

New clothes! Working in a store where you can pick out the collection isn’t always that good for my bank account, but I have scored so many good items recently! So there are still bunch of items I want to shoot and show you. For example this lammy coat, skirt and boots I’m wearing on the pictures are new. When it is not raining and I can find someone to shoot pictures with/for me, I will have more outfits to show you! For now, see you back very soon! xxxx

NL: Hallo meiden en jongens! (ja, ja mijn Google Analytics zeggen dat er ook veel mannen mijn blog bekijken!). Het is alweer een tijdje dat ik wat gepost hebt, maar ik was eerlijk gezegd gewoon niet echt een ”outfit schieten” bui. Het weer werkt ook niet mee. De foto’s die ik heb geschoten, waren meer voor werk of meer instagram waardig. Er zijn wel een aantal dingen gebeurd de afgelopen weken en een van de dingen is dat ik naar de MTV EMA’s geweest ben. Het was echt weer geweldig. Ik heb Green Day ”American Idiot”  live zien spelen, wat echt mijn favoriete nummer was 10 jaar geleden. Nooit gedacht dat ik dat nog live zou mee maken, en ik ging daarom ook he-le-maal los. Als enige ook volgens mij, maar goed.

De avond begon bij de rode loper waar ik helaas buiten stond. Ik zei nog duidelijk tegen iedereen dat als Joe Jonas en Green Day zou komen dat ik echt een goede foto wilde schieten. De crazy fan girl zou echt naar boven komen, maar ik dacht laat maar, ik ben hier te oud voor en wil geen ruzie haha!! Ik heb uiteindelijk wel een goede foto van Joe kunnen maken en Green Day wilde niet naar ons komen, omdat het op dat moment regende… boohooo. Ik stond tijdens de show voorin waar de awards werden uitgereikt, dus dat was echt super vet. Ik heb echt genoten!

• Daarnaast heb ik de afgelopen weken aan mijn eigen deal gehouden, dat ik minstens één keer in de week ga sporten. Ik ga dan of naar de sportschool, meedoen aan bootcamp of 5km hardlopen. Ik heb keuzes dus ook geen excuus om het niet te doen!
• Heb ik mijn haar lichter geverfd. Het was in het begin zelfs een beetje grijzig! Ik ga langzamerhand steeds lichter.
• Ik heb foto’s geschoten op een feest, voor een vriend Gerson (en video, bekijk het hier)
• Met vrienden afgesproken en nieuwe mensen ontmoet – zo dankbaar voor dit!
• Ook ben ik naar Engeland geweest voor werk om de nieuwe collectie in te kopen. Oh, ik ben zo blij met mijn baan, het is zó leuk! Wat mij weer naar het volgende onderwerp brengt…

Nieuwe kleren! Oké, werken in een kledingwinkel helpt mijn stopverslaving niet, aangezien ik zelf mag meebepalen wat er in de winkel komt. De laatste tijd heb ik echt goede dingen gescoord en wil ze echt nog allemaal laten zien. Bijvoorbeeld deze lammy jas, rok en laarzen die ik op de foto’s draag zijn nieuw. Wanneer het niet regent en ik iemand kan vinden om mee te shotten, dan zal ik echt meer outfits laten zien. Voor nu, tot snel! xxxx

ENG: How awesome are these western high boots from Loblan?! It is a challenge to wear these in The Netherlands, since I don’t want to look like a real cow girl. If I lived in a sunny place (ahum LA) I would wear them every day with shorts. But this is how I made my first look with the boots with a autumn-ish dress and fluffy vest from Imagine. Tonight me and my girlboss will head to Paris to get the new collection for the store. Super excited for this mini trip. Follow my snapchat (ohmaygodd) for more vlog-like updates!

NL: Hoe cool zijn deze western hoge laarzen van Loblan? Het is een kleine uitdaging voor mij om ze hier in Nederland te dragen, aangezien ik niet als een echte cow girl wil uitzien. Als ik op een warme plek woonde (kuch kuch LA), zou ik deze elke dag met shorts dragen. Dit is de eerste look die ik heb gemaakt met de laarzen, een herfstactige jurk met een fluffy vest van Imagine. Op de Nelson blog lees je meer over hoe ik de hoge laarzen trend combineer. Vanavond ga ik met mijn girlboss naar Parijs om te nieuwe collectie in te kopen voor de winkel. coong: Last saturday I was in Amsterdam for an event with Nelson. We went to the Ecco Leather factory Petit where we got to know about the leather business from Ecco. You might know Ecco from the shoes, but that is just a part of the company. Ecco leather also delivers the goods to external companies such as Apple, Alexander Wang and so on. It was interesting to know how leather is processed and the differences. After that we could make our own leather good and I chose for a black shopper. Yes, a bit boring, because there were plenty of colors of leather to choose from, but I know that I will wear this with me every day! After that we went for a lunch and got to see the autumn/winter magazine of Nelson, where I am featured in alongside the other ambassadors.

NL: Afgelopen zaterdag was ik in Amsterdam voor een evenement met Nelson schoenen. We gingen naar de Ecco Leather factory petit, waar we een presentatie en workshop kregen van Ecco Leather. Je kent Ecco misschien van de schoenen, maar dat is maar een klein onderdeel van het hele bedrijf. Ecco Leather levert het leer aan externe bedrijven zoals Apple, Alexander Wang enzovoorts. Het was interessant om het te weten en met leer te werken, want we mochten na de presentatie zelf aan de slag. Ik had gekozen om een zwarte shopper te maken. Ja, het klinkt misschien een beetje saai, want er waren verschillende kleuren leer waar ik uit kon kiezen, maar ik wist gewoon zeker dat ik hem dan elke dag zou dragen. Na de workshop gingen we gezellig lunchen waar we de herfst/winter magazine van Nelson kregen. Ik sta er zelf ook in met de andere ambassadeurs, dus dat is super vet natuurlijk!

ENG: Today is apparently one of the last days that the weather will be good and my new Dr. Martens pascal in light blue came in right on time! I’m so out of ideas what to wear in this hot weather, so today I wearing almost nothing haha. It will be a hell walking the shoes in at first, but it will be worth it. The past days I have been hanging out with my girls a lot and what we do best; eating and talking. I think I came to the point where I have a clear view about my life and just live it to the fullest!

NL: Vandaag is het blijkbaar een van de laatste dagen dat het weer goed zal zijn. Mijn nieuwe Dr. Martens zijn net op tijd binnengekomen om nog soort van een zomerse look mee te maken. Ik ben echt inspiratieloos wat betreft zomer outfits, want ik wil eigenlijk zo min mogelijk aan. De afgelopen dagen ben ik lekker gaan uit eten met mijn vriendinnen en hebben eindeloos gepraat over van alles. Zo gezellig altijd! Ik ben nu wel echt op het punt gekomen dat ik wel een helder beeld heb over mijn leven, en ik ga er het beste van maken! Zo peptalk voor mezelf hier haha.

Summer is almost over, but luckily I still have something planned by the end of this month. I noticed that the past week that when the sun was out that my general mood was better. I think for lots of people! What if I belong in a sunny place? Thoughts to think about 😉 This weekend I will be in the middle of nowhere with church where we will spend time together. Looking forward to just playing and chilling with the kids and catching up with my brother and bestie. The pictures were shot during my stay in Antwerp. The lighting was perfect and I finally had the opportunity to wear my too revealing pretty dress from Chicwish. Xo

ENG: On the way to the loft in Antwerp me and the girls spotted a really cute house with the plants. I forgot the camera in the car so me and Veerle had to walk back. We decided to take some pictures in front of the house. There was no one at home, so it wasn’t that awkward to take pictures there. A few kids were playing on the streets so thought we were shooting for H&M or something, it was really funny.
I am so happy to announce that I will be one of the Nelson Ambassadors this year. I am so obsessed with shoes and jackets, I buy them without any guilt. So a collaboration with a shoe store is such great opportunity! By the end of this month the Nelson autumn magazine will come out where I will be doing something fun with it. I’ll keep you updated! NL: Onderweg naar de loft in Antwerpen hadden ik en de meiden een super schattige huisje met planten gespot. Ik was mijn camera in de auto vergeten, dus ik en Veerle zijn toen teruggelopen. We konden het niet laten om daar gelijk wat foto’s te schieten en aangezien niemand thuis was, voelde het niet zo awkward om daar te gaan poseren. Er waren ook nog een paar kinderen in de straat aan het spelen en vroegen of we voor de H&M aan het schieten waren. Dat was wel grappig!

Ik ben ook blij om te delen dat ik een van de Nelson ambassadeurs ben dit jaar. Ik ben zo verslaafd aan schoenen en jassen; ik koop ze zonder me schuldig te voelen. Dus een samenwerking met een schoenenwinkel is echt een fantastische kans. Aan het eind van deze maand komt de Nelson herfstmagazine uit en ik zal er iets tofs aan bijdragen, maar verder zeg ik even niks. Ik houd jullie op de hoogte! XO
