ENG: I’m back at work today. Hopefully I won’t get any weird sun attacks and I’ll be able to enjoy the sun as much I did on these pictures. The day that you know that you don’t have to bring a jacket, you know it is a good day! I’ve been thinking too much about things lately, that I tend to forget to prioritise the things that should be done. Don’t know why I have this constant feeling of stress while I actually have nothing to worry about! When my friend is back from her holidays I will go to the gym again, maybe that will help. We’ll see.. for now I am just really living day by day and planning in-between. XO

ENG: Okay okay, you might think: ”What does she mean with hiding from the sun?!”. How much I enjoyed the sun yesterday while shooting these pictures, I hated it today. My body went full on against me and at work I started to feel feverish and other problems women only know. So I was not useful and went home early. The subway ride back was killing me, because the sun was super hot and my headache was intense. I took a nap, had bit of food and now I’m continuing my Gilmore Girls marathon. I just can’t function properly. So there’s a fun update from my side haha! Well, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, but I got exciting things and trips planned. For now, you can find me back in bed. XO
NL: Oke, misschien lees je nu wel de titel en denk je: wat bedoelt ze nóu weer met ”verstoppen voor de zon?!”. Hoe veel ik ook ook van de zon hield gisteren tijdens het schieten van deze look, vandaag haatte ik het. Mijn lichaam ging opeens super raar doen en alles werkte tegen. Een beginnend koortsgevoel en andere vrouwenkwaaltjes speelden op. Ik was echt nutteloos en kon gelukkig eerder naar huis. De metrorit terug was echt hels, de zon was echt keihard aan het schijnen en ik had het gevoel alsof ik in een sauna zat. Natuurlijk kon hoofdpijn er ook nog wel bij, dus dat. Ik heb een dutje genomen, wat gegeten en nu ga ik weer verder aan mijn Gilmore Girls marathon. Echt, ik functioneer gewoon echt niet. Dus even een leuke update haha! Hoe graag ik het ook wil, het gaat niet altijd goed. Misschien zegt mijn lichaam ook wel dat ik even moet rusten. Ik heb leuke samenwerkingen en tripjes gepland staan, dus ik houd jullie op de hoogte. XO

Im in a constant battle with myself. Before you think:”oh no”, let me explain. We live in a world where people have expectations. From” What kind of work do you do”, “how much money do you earn”, “who are you hanging out with” to “how do you look like”, I know you have heard all of them. The worse thing is that everyone is different and we still keep comparing everything and everyone. Thing is, I am trying to live with a thought of that this life I am living is MINE and nobody else’s’. Which comes to my point of being in constant battle with myself; I want to live the best life I can have, but I am overthinking everything. So annoying! Do you have any tips on clearing a full mind? 🙂

ENG: What a crazy week I have been through. I’m not sure how much information I should put out here on the internet for every one to see. And it is really only the high light reels you see and what I tell you. Bit of a ”maypoganda” right? haha. Anyways, I just feel like whatever we are going through in life, can only makes you a stronger human being. Either happy or sad things,  they make you the person who you are today. Reflect on how you want to be a better version of yourself every day and keep on working it step by step!

ENG: I’ve known Gerson since high school and back then we already took pictures during our lunch breaks. We never lost contact and from time to time we keep each other updated about our lives. He now is super busy with his music and I believe great things will happen for him! Check him out on YouTube and Spotify XO

NL: Ik ken Gerson sinds de middelbare school en toen schoten we al samen foto’s tijdens de pauze. We zijn sindsdien altijd wel in contact gebleven en houden elkaar op de hoogte van wat er in ons leven gebeurd. Hij is momenteel onwijs veel bezig met zijn muziek en ik geloof echt dat er geweldige dingen gaan gebeuren voor hem! Check zijn YouTube kanaal en Spotify voor zijn muziek!

Afgelopen vrijdag ben ik naar  de browbar van Benefit geweest. Ze hadden me toen advies gegeven over de producten en ook wat uitgeprobeerd. Mijn wenkbrauwen spulletjes zijn bijna op dus ik dacht waarom niet! Ik ging naar huis met de:

Precisely, my brow pencil
Ik heb van mezelf al best veel wenkbrauwhaartjes, dus de keus voor ds precisely potlood was al snel gemaakt. Het heeft een dunne punt waardoor je gemakkelijk haartjes kunt bijtekenen. Ze zeggen ook dat het waterproef is, maar dat heb ik nog niet uitgeprobeerd!

3D Browtones
Nadat de mevrouw mijn wenkbrauwen super mooi had getekend deed ze er de 3D Browtones highlighter op. Het is een wenkbrauw gel waardoor je haartjes iets gaan oplichten. Dat paste goed bij m’n haren en het creëerde een meer zachtere look.

Erase paste
De erase paste is een color corrector, een basis voor bijvoorbeeld een concealer.

Ik ben echt benieuwd naar de producten! De prijzen liggen rond de 26 euro. Wel ietsjes hoog naar mijn idee maar ik ben ook geen beauty queen dus wil wel op z’n tijd investeren in goede producten! Gebruik jij de producten van Benefit? Wat zijn jouw ervaringen? Xo

#ONMAYBODY: Dress from Chicwish*, Hat from Zara, Sneakers from Isabel Marant, Choker from Imagine by Kim

ENG: What a lovely weekend I had! Spend time with my friends and I even went to an ”Escape Room”. If you haven’t heard of it, it is a room where you are locked in and you need to get out by figuring out all the clues that are hidden in the room. It was super fun and we escaped right on time! You only get one hour and we got out at 59:30. I also tried a bit of crocodile meat at an African restaurant. It tasted a bit like chicken, but it had a more thick structure. Tomorrow I will be shooting engagement pictures for a friend of mine. The weather will be good this week, so I’m already a happy girl!

NL: Ik heb echt een fijn weekend gehad met mijn vrienden en ik ben zelfs naar een ”Escape Room” geweest. Mocht je er nog nooit van hebben gehoord; het is een kamer waarin je wordt opgesloten en binnen een uur uit moet zien te komen door middel het oplossen van hints in de kamer. Het was echt leuk, echt een aanrader om te doen. We hadden het echt net op tijd gehaald. Ook heb ik een stukje krokodillenvlees gegeten bij een Afrikaans restaurant. Het smaakte een beetje naar kip met een hardere structuur. Morgen ga ik verlovingsfoto’s schieten voor een vriendinnetje. Het weer wordt deze week volgens mij goed, dus dat maakt mij al super blij!

The weather is so good outside, I did some shopping at Primark today and bought some new brow stuff from Benefit. I’m running late, but I’m heading for a dinner and drinks with friends.
