ENG: In Barcelona we stayed at the Gothic Town area. How I’d say to the girls when something looks old: it was quite authentic. There are small streets with buildings with around the height of a 5th floor appartment.

Our Airbnb was really nice located, just 10 minutes away from the beach, Las Ramblas and the El Born. If you are planning to go to Barcelona, I’d recommend this place. Also the host was really sweet and helpful (She killed the cockroach in our room). Just note that you have to get up the stairs, because it’s on the highest floor. Here is the link to the Airbnb.

When it came to my looks, I was already done with summer outfits. We had quite a surprising summer here in The Netherlands, but I didn’t shoot a lot of the outfits, because I wanted to save them up for Barcelona. I bought the T-shirt I am wearing at Pull&Bear and wore it with my favourite velvet dress from Zara. If you know me for a longer time, I always loved wearing band shirts ”looks’ ‘ already. But only from the bands that I listen too, which usually didn’t have that cool band merch haha. So I thought I was totally cool walking around in my Fall Out Boy, Paramore and Tokio Hotel t-shirts in high school. I also bought the fishnet pantyhose at P&B for the extra edgy cool feel. I could wear this summer look also here in the warmer fall days. This was definitely one of my favourite looks! Xo

Today I got a free day, which means I have a me-day. I’m going for a run, clean up my room, organise my closet so I can sort of make a fresh new start for this fall season!

NL: In Barcelona verbleven we in de Gotische wijk. Als iets een oude uitstraling zag zei ik altijd tegen de meiden dat het ”zeer authentiek” was. Je vind daar smalle straten met hoge gebouwen van ongeveer vijf of meer verdiepingen.

Onze Airbnb zat echt goed gelegen, namelijk 10 minuten afstand van het strand, La Rambla en El Born. Als je van plan bent om naar Barcelona te gaan, kan ik je echt deze plek aanraden. De host was ook super lief en behulpzaam (ze had de kakkerlak in onze kamer geplet). Let wel op dat je echt veel trappen op moet, omdat het op de hoogste verdieping zit. Als het om mijn looks ging, was ik eigenlijk al klaar met zomer outfits. We hadden best een goede zomer in Nederland, maar ik heb niet zoveel outfits geschoten. Ik wilde ze natuurlijk beetje opsparen voor Barcelona. De t-shirt die ik draag kocht ik bij Pull&Bear en droeg ik met mijn favoriete velvet jurk van de Zara. De mensen die mij al langer kennen weten dat ik altijd van band shirts hield. Ik droeg ze van mijn favoriete bands die niet zo coole merch hadden. Op de middelbare school dacht ik natuurlijk cool rond te lopen met mijn Paramore, Fall Out Boy en Tokio Hotel shirts. Ook kocht ik de visnet panty bij de P&B voor een extra stoere look. Ik kan deze look ook nog in de warme herfstdagen dragen. Dit was echt een van mij favoriete outfits!

Vandaag heb ik een vrije dag, dat betekend dat ik even een dag voor mezelf heb. Ik ga zo hardlopen, mijn kamer opruimen, klerenkast reorganizeren, zodat ik soort van een frisse start kan maken! Xo

ENG: Time flies when you’re having fun! I just got back from Barcelona with Jennie and Wendy and it was an amazing couple of days. We laughed, we cried (there was a cockroach in our room one night), ate delicious food and took amazing pictures. It was so nice to get out and I really felt like I was on vacation. No stress and worries about the things back home.. a-w-e-s-o-m-e. I made a Barcelona stash, so you will probably see lots of sunny pictures upcoming posts. XO
NL: De tijd vliegt waneer je het leuk hebt! Ik ben net teruggekomen uit Barcelona met Jennie en Wendy. De afgelopen dagen waren echt geweldig. We hebben ontzettend veel gelachen, gehuild (er zat een avond een kakkerlak in onze kamer), hadden lekker gegeten en fantastische foto’s geschoten. Het was echt fijn om er even tussenuit te gaan, het voelde echt als een vakantie. Geen stress en zorgen over alle dingen van thuis.. ja, geweldig gevoel is dat! Ik heb echt een stash gemaakt met foto’s van de vakantie, dus je zult deze veel zien aankomende artikelen. XO

On top of my picture location was the cactus garden “Jardins de Mossèns Costa I Llobera”. Today we went there and we shot a bunch of pictures. It was a true cactus paradise!

ENG: I have been a bit MIA for the past few days (not on snapchat) but i have been working and getting a bit sick, which sucks! That’s why I decided to wear my new knit jumper last monday from Chicwish. I just love the stuff that they have and so happy to collaborate with them for a while now.

Anyways, I am packing up my stuff and getting ready for bed soon because I have an early flight to Barcelona with Jen & Wen! I think the sun will help with my beginning flu. Hopefully I will be able to take lots of cool pictures and relax to the fullest. I will take a vlog camera with me so I can remember this fun trip!

ENG:  part of work is that I get to help deciding what we will get in store. Yesterday we went to frange to buy in the new fall collection. On the road back we took pictures for the store and I had the idea to do it at a gas station. I always wanted to do that so I love that Kim is on the same page as I am! The collection is available in store and online today Xo

NL: Het leuke gedeelte van werk is dat Ik mag meebepalen wat er in de nieuwe collectie komt. Gister gingen we naar Frankrijk om dit te doen. Op de terug weg hebben we wat foto’s geschoten met de nieuwe items. Ik wilde altijd al eens een keer bij een tankstation schieten, dus ik ben zo blij dat Kim er hetzelfde over denkt. ENG: Today is apparently one of the last days that the weather will be good and my new Dr. Martens pascal in light blue came in right on time! I’m so out of ideas what to wear in this hot weather, so today I wearing almost nothing haha. It will be a hell walking the shoes in at first, but it will be worth it. The past days I have been hanging out with my girls a lot and what we do best; eating and talking. I think I came to the point where I have a clear view about my life and just live it to the fullest!

NL: Vandaag is het blijkbaar een van de laatste dagen dat het weer goed zal zijn. Mijn nieuwe Dr. Martens zijn net op tijd binnengekomen om nog soort van een zomerse look mee te maken. Ik ben echt inspiratieloos wat betreft zomer outfits, want ik wil eigenlijk zo min mogelijk aan. De afgelopen dagen ben ik lekker gaan uit eten met mijn vriendinnen en hebben eindeloos gepraat over van alles. Zo gezellig altijd! Ik ben nu wel echt op het punt gekomen dat ik wel een helder beeld heb over mijn leven, en ik ga er het beste van maken! Zo peptalk voor mezelf hier haha.

So the sun might not be shining but thank God, it is still bare legs days! It was time to finally wear my denim dress. I wore it with a black top and heels, so not that special! On Facebook I gave a shout out to all the people that have ever taken pictures for me, because without them it takes so much longer for me to have content.

At one point everyone will ask the same question: ”What is the purpose of my life”. Think about that, that each and everyone has this same thought, but the awnsers won’t be the same. I could debate and talk about this whole life thing for hours. It seems tiring, but to me, it gives me perspective each time. I noticed that I really only have to focus on what I do and what I can do for the people around me first. There is purpose in every little thing that you decide or do in my opinion. Each choice has a certain outcome and that is how life just goes on and on. So strange when you think about it. Or not, I am an over thinker so maybe these thoughts are a bit new for you (i hope not). Anyways, besides all of that deep thinking – everything is fine 😉 Just wanted to share a thought with you!
