Summer is almost over, but luckily I still have something planned by the end of this month. I noticed that the past week that when the sun was out that my general mood was better. I think for lots of people! What if I belong in a sunny place? Thoughts to think about 😉 This weekend I will be in the middle of nowhere with church where we will spend time together. Looking forward to just playing and chilling with the kids and catching up with my brother and bestie. The pictures were shot during my stay in Antwerp. The lighting was perfect and I finally had the opportunity to wear my too revealing pretty dress from Chicwish. Xo

ENG: I’m back at work today. Hopefully I won’t get any weird sun attacks and I’ll be able to enjoy the sun as much I did on these pictures. The day that you know that you don’t have to bring a jacket, you know it is a good day! I’ve been thinking too much about things lately, that I tend to forget to prioritise the things that should be done. Don’t know why I have this constant feeling of stress while I actually have nothing to worry about! When my friend is back from her holidays I will go to the gym again, maybe that will help. We’ll see.. for now I am just really living day by day and planning in-between. XO

ENG: Okay okay, you might think: ”What does she mean with hiding from the sun?!”. How much I enjoyed the sun yesterday while shooting these pictures, I hated it today. My body went full on against me and at work I started to feel feverish and other problems women only know. So I was not useful and went home early. The subway ride back was killing me, because the sun was super hot and my headache was intense. I took a nap, had bit of food and now I’m continuing my Gilmore Girls marathon. I just can’t function properly. So there’s a fun update from my side haha! Well, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, but I got exciting things and trips planned. For now, you can find me back in bed. XO
NL: Oke, misschien lees je nu wel de titel en denk je: wat bedoelt ze nóu weer met ”verstoppen voor de zon?!”. Hoe veel ik ook ook van de zon hield gisteren tijdens het schieten van deze look, vandaag haatte ik het. Mijn lichaam ging opeens super raar doen en alles werkte tegen. Een beginnend koortsgevoel en andere vrouwenkwaaltjes speelden op. Ik was echt nutteloos en kon gelukkig eerder naar huis. De metrorit terug was echt hels, de zon was echt keihard aan het schijnen en ik had het gevoel alsof ik in een sauna zat. Natuurlijk kon hoofdpijn er ook nog wel bij, dus dat. Ik heb een dutje genomen, wat gegeten en nu ga ik weer verder aan mijn Gilmore Girls marathon. Echt, ik functioneer gewoon echt niet. Dus even een leuke update haha! Hoe graag ik het ook wil, het gaat niet altijd goed. Misschien zegt mijn lichaam ook wel dat ik even moet rusten. Ik heb leuke samenwerkingen en tripjes gepland staan, dus ik houd jullie op de hoogte. XO

ENG: What a lovely weekend I had! Spend time with my friends and I even went to an ”Escape Room”. If you haven’t heard of it, it is a room where you are locked in and you need to get out by figuring out all the clues that are hidden in the room. It was super fun and we escaped right on time! You only get one hour and we got out at 59:30. I also tried a bit of crocodile meat at an African restaurant. It tasted a bit like chicken, but it had a more thick structure. Tomorrow I will be shooting engagement pictures for a friend of mine. The weather will be good this week, so I’m already a happy girl!

NL: Ik heb echt een fijn weekend gehad met mijn vrienden en ik ben zelfs naar een ”Escape Room” geweest. Mocht je er nog nooit van hebben gehoord; het is een kamer waarin je wordt opgesloten en binnen een uur uit moet zien te komen door middel het oplossen van hints in de kamer. Het was echt leuk, echt een aanrader om te doen. We hadden het echt net op tijd gehaald. Ook heb ik een stukje krokodillenvlees gegeten bij een Afrikaans restaurant. Het smaakte een beetje naar kip met een hardere structuur. Morgen ga ik verlovingsfoto’s schieten voor een vriendinnetje. Het weer wordt deze week volgens mij goed, dus dat maakt mij al super blij!

The weather is so good outside, I did some shopping at Primark today and bought some new brow stuff from Benefit. I’m running late, but I’m heading for a dinner and drinks with friends. Jeetje wat vliegen de dagen voorbij zeg! Afgelopen woensdag ben ik naar Duinrell geweest en het was echt super leuk. Ik was nog nooit in het Tiki bad geweest en wilde echt in de ”tol glijbaan”. Het was wel even slikken toen ik op het groene licht moest wachten om te kunnen glijden, maar het was echt kicken. Donderdag na werk was ik echt gesloopt en ben begonnen aan de serie ”Gilmore Girls” en heb ook weer de laatste aflevering van Pretty Little Liars gekeken. Ik volg de serie al sinds het uit kwam en ik snap soms nog steeds niet waarom ik na al die jaren kijk. Het blijft wel spannend, maar ook wel echt langdradig. Vandaag had ik eindelijk mijn lelijke haarkleur gefixt bij Pino & Co kappers en het resultaat is echt wat ik wilde. Er moesten ook wat stukjes af, maar ik laat het jullie het snel zien. In mijn snapchat story (ohmaygodd) kon je al een sneak peek zien. De sale is weer begonnen in vele winkels en heb bij de Bijenkorf Isabel Marant sneakers gescoord. Die laat ik morgen zien! Zaterdag is weer een werkdagje, maar daarna ga ik naar een verjaardagsfeestje, dus dat is leuk! Ik ga maar gauw slapen, want ik ben forever tired. Ik wens jullie allemaal een fijn weekend toe! XO

ENG: The past few weeks my bad habits have come back. I’m eating unhealthy (or not at all), sleeping late, dull all the time. I should force myself in to a structure again. My looks haven’t been really inspiring lately, I am wearing the most comfortable things I can find. Yesterday I went to a meeting with a shoe brand (more about that soon), today I am working and tomorrow I will go to a theme park Duinrell. I am excited for all the things that I will do, but I really need to step up my game in life hahaha. I did went for a run (sort off) once a week, so that is better than no exercise at all! NL: De afgelopen weken zijn mijn slechte gewoontes teruggekomen. Ik eet ongezond (of helemaal niet), slaap laat en ben zo suf de hele dag door. Ik moet echt even weer gestructureerd aan de slag gaan. Mijn outfits zijn ook zo oninspirerend de laatste tijd, ik draag echt alleen maar de comfortabele dingen die ik kan vinden. Gisteren heb ik een meeting gehad met een schoenenmerk (meer over volgt), vandaag werk ik en morgen ga ik naar Duinrell. Ik ben wel echt enthousiast over alle dingen die ik ga doen, maar ik moet mezelf echt even bij elkaar rapen en wat meer energie in m’n leven stoppen haha. Gelukkig heb ik in ieder geval wel een keer in de week hardgelopen, dus dat is wel goed! Ik houd jullie op de hoogte XO

ENG: Yesterday I went to a sauna with a friend of mine and it was so relaxing! I could’t take the heat that much so I was getting out of each sauna after 5 mins haha. There was also a pool so it was nice to just float around. The top of this outfit from Sammydress says ”FREEDOM” with an eagle flying. What if life was so easy like my shirt said? Not a care in the world, like a bird flying around wherever you want, eat what you want. But, I am happy to be a human though, it’s hard sometimes with all the thoughts, expectations and having the need to please everyone. It’s hard to be selfless in a selfish world. What I learned is just to do your part what you can and if you work or give it will eventually come back at you. That I have the basic fundamentals of life every day is already a freedom I am more blessed with. So enjoy all the little things and moments with your family and friends! Heck, try to re-contact old friends again, it will all develop you in some kind of way as a person! At least, that is what I am trying to do. Today I will shoot more pictures with a friend, so I’m excited for that!

NL: Gisteren ging ik naar een sauna met een vriendin van mij en het was zo ontspannend! Ik kon de warmte niet zo goed aan (85 graden..) dus nam ik afscheid van mijn vriendin na 5 minuten bij elke sauna haha. Er was ook een zwembad dus het was leuk om gewoon rond te badderen. Op het topje van Sammydress in deze outfit staat er ”FREEDOM” met een vliegende adelaar. Wat als het leven zo gemakkelijk is als op mijn t-shirt staat? Geen zorgen en als een vogel vliegen in het rond waar je maar wilt, eten wat je wilt. Maar, ik ben blij om een mens te zijn hoewel, het is soms moeilijk is met alle gedachten, verwachtingen en het gevoel hebben dat je iedereen het naar zijn of haar zin moet maken. Het is moeilijk om niet egoïstisch te zijn in een egoïstische wereld. Wat ik heb geleerd is gewoon te doen wat je kunt doen, geven wat je kunt geven en dan komt het uiteindelijk wel terug. Dat ik de basis fundamenten van dit leven heb is al meer dan blessing. Dus geniet van alle kleine dingen en momenten met je familie en vrienden! Zoek eens weer contact met oude vrienden of kennissen, het zal je op een of andere manier wel ontwikkelen als persoon. Tenminste, dat is wat ik probeer te doen. Ik ga vandaag nog meer foto’s schieten met een vriend, dus daar heb ik veel zin in!

ENG: Hi ya’ll! The past week I haven’t post anything here and barely on instagram (but you probably haven’t notice that). I have been snapping, so if you already following me there, then you could see what I have been up too. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I took pictures at a wedding, which was really fun! I will show you the end results somewhere this week. I hung out with my friends, worked and participated a 5k run. I ran it in half an hour, so I broke my personal record. I also took pictures with my friend Joby and bought this awesome palmtree shirt at the H&M men’s department. The shirt was only €12,99! So the cactus and palmtree obsession continues..

NL: Hallo-tjes! Ik heb echt de afgelopen week al niks gepost en ook amper op instagram (zul je vast niet merken). Snappen, doe ik wel nog, dus als je mij volgt weet je al een beetje waar ik de afgelopen week mee bezig ben geweest. Ik heb zoals ik in mijn vorige post vertelde op een bruiloft gefotografeerd, het was echt mega gezellig en leuk om een getrouwd stel te fotograferen. Het resultaat zal ik van de week nog even posten. Verder heb ik veel met mijn vrienden afgesproken, gewerkt en meegedaan aan de halve van Hoogvliet. Ik heb 5km in een halfuurtje hardgelopen, wat dus echt een prestatie is voor mij! Ook heb ik weer foto’s geschoten met m’n vriend Joby en kocht ik dit toffe Palmbomen shirt bij de herenafdeling van de H&M. Ik had hem al een tijdje op het oog en hij was maar €12,99. Mijn cactussen en palmbomen obsessie blijft maar hangen.
