ENG: I had a super slow weekend where most of the time I spend it on the couch or bed. It’s like whenever I’m free, there are stones in my body. I just can’t get myself out to do something. Yeah, I think I’m making myself crazy 😝 This week I got a full schedule again, so that might be good that I have some distraction! Xo

 ENG: As you might have seen, lately I’ve been trying to take another direction with my outfit pictures. I want my pictures to look more like a story. I’m so lucky with my friends who also want to experiment with me. That makes it also more fun to create new looks and content for my blog. I’m so excited for the upcoming trips I am going to plan. When everything works out I will tell you more about it!

NL: Zoals je misschien hebt gezien ben ik bezig geweest met een ander soort stijl outfit foto’s. Ik wil met mijn foto’s meer proberen om een verhaal te vertellen. Ik heb echt geluk met vrienden die met mij hierin mee willen experimenteren. Dat maakt het ook veel leuker om nieuwe looks en content voor mijn blog te maken. Ik ben ook echt super excited voor de tripjes die ik ga plannen. Als alles is geregeld zal ik je er meer over vertellen!

2016, 2016, let me start from the begin.

2015 was a crappy year full of personal challenges and heart breaks, so this year had to be a year of avoiding mistakes.

• First it was time for a little retreat with Jennie to the USA. And oh boy, what a good time we had there at the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and LA. It was a chilled vacation and I’m happy to gain a new friend, one that I was going to spend more time with now and then.
• I went to great events with my blog. For example I met two girls from the cast of Awkard and Faking It. I’ve became an Nelson Ambassador and went to the big Primark Amsterdam opening.
• Talking about friends I have lost touch with some, because now I really know done is done. I’ve come to know new people and I treasure all these little moments with them, because maybe at some point I could call them my friends. You are who you are surrounding yourself with, so find good people who lift you up.
• I started my new job where I have been feeling less stressed. You can say I’m a bit less of a mess 😉 I’m so thankful and greatful for this opportunity and hope to get the most out of this journey. So i’d like to thank my girlboss for believing in me.
• My blog was hacked for a while which lead to me starting over with a clean slate. The sucky part is that I lost my visitors and all my previous updates. On the other hand it means I can now focus on better content again.
• I also started good with working out but you know how that ends. Once there are more fun things to do like eating with friends. I will find the motivation to start again..
• In the summer things got a little rough, ive seen someone passed away right in front of me. Yeah that was some heavy stuff. It reminded me of how life can be so fragile and unexpecting. These kinds of things are just never ending.
• I went to Barcelona with Jennie and Wendy for a little getaway in the sun. That was really fun ❤
• The MTV EMA’s were held in Rotterdam and it was obviously that I needed to go. So I went to the fan audition alone to score a red card carpet ticket for the show. It was one of these moments I felt proud I did something for myself without anyone else.

Did I avoid making mistakes? No, not at all, but I have learned from every choice I made.
So here we are today in 2017. This will be the year of just letting things go. I mean, what ever really happen nobody knows. All I know is that I need to find my inner peace and common ground. With the thought of that the best is yet to come, nothing can bring me down! 🙏

ENG: When I saw this velvet wrapped dress at Zara I didn’t hesitate to buy it, even though it was a large. I couldn’t risk not having it at all! I was so in love haha. Two days later I went back and saw more sizes hanging so happy me, I got them in my right size. This is how I would wear the dress ”casually”, but my definition of casual could be already a bit over the top. The white teddy coat that I am wearing is from Imagine, which is perfect for this cold weather.

NL: Toen ik dit fluwelen omslagjurkje bij de Zara zag aarzelde ik geen seconde om hem te kopen. Hij was er alleen in een large verkrijgbaar, maar ik kon het niet riskeren om hem niet te hebben. Ik ging twee dagen later terug en gelukkig hadden ze meerdere maten, dus ik was super blij. Dit is hoe ik hem ”casual” draag, al is mijn definitie van casual vaak al iets meer over de top. De witte teddy jas komt van Imagine en is echt perfect voor de koude dagen.

ENG: Hey girls and guys! It’s been a while that I have posted, but I was just not in a outfit shoot mode since the weather is so awful. When I did take pictures it was more for work and more for Instagram, so it is not really blog-worthy! There have quite been things happening for the past weeks, but the one I am going to share is that I was at the MTV EMA’s. That was so awesome! I got to see Green Day playing American Idiot which was my favourite song 10 years ago. So my teenage dream came true.. how cool is that?! I started it with going to the red carpet. Unfortunately I was standing outside and made clear that when Joe Jonas or Green Day came, I would turn in to a crazy fan and push everyone away. I didn’t want to make a hassle so in the end I got a close up picture from Joe, and Green Day didn’t came to our place because it was raining……. boo! Then I stood in front of of the stage where they gave out the awards. It was a really fun evening!

• Besides that I have been keeping up with my own deal of doing some sports at least once a week, so it is a slow progress – but a progress! I either go to the gym, participate with a bootcamp or go for a 5k run. So I have options and no excuses!
• I have coloured my hair lighter! It was in the beginning a bit grey, but I’m in a slow progress of getting it lighter again.
• Got to shoot pictures at a party, for friend Gerson (and video check it out here)
• Meet up with lots of friends and new people – soo thankful for this!
• I have been to England to buy the new collection for work. I’m so grateful with my job, it is so much fun! Which takes me to the next subject….

New clothes! Working in a store where you can pick out the collection isn’t always that good for my bank account, but I have scored so many good items recently! So there are still bunch of items I want to shoot and show you. For example this lammy coat, skirt and boots I’m wearing on the pictures are new. When it is not raining and I can find someone to shoot pictures with/for me, I will have more outfits to show you! For now, see you back very soon! xxxx

NL: Hallo meiden en jongens! (ja, ja mijn Google Analytics zeggen dat er ook veel mannen mijn blog bekijken!). Het is alweer een tijdje dat ik wat gepost hebt, maar ik was eerlijk gezegd gewoon niet echt een ”outfit schieten” bui. Het weer werkt ook niet mee. De foto’s die ik heb geschoten, waren meer voor werk of meer instagram waardig. Er zijn wel een aantal dingen gebeurd de afgelopen weken en een van de dingen is dat ik naar de MTV EMA’s geweest ben. Het was echt weer geweldig. Ik heb Green Day ”American Idiot”  live zien spelen, wat echt mijn favoriete nummer was 10 jaar geleden. Nooit gedacht dat ik dat nog live zou mee maken, en ik ging daarom ook he-le-maal los. Als enige ook volgens mij, maar goed.

De avond begon bij de rode loper waar ik helaas buiten stond. Ik zei nog duidelijk tegen iedereen dat als Joe Jonas en Green Day zou komen dat ik echt een goede foto wilde schieten. De crazy fan girl zou echt naar boven komen, maar ik dacht laat maar, ik ben hier te oud voor en wil geen ruzie haha!! Ik heb uiteindelijk wel een goede foto van Joe kunnen maken en Green Day wilde niet naar ons komen, omdat het op dat moment regende… boohooo. Ik stond tijdens de show voorin waar de awards werden uitgereikt, dus dat was echt super vet. Ik heb echt genoten!

• Daarnaast heb ik de afgelopen weken aan mijn eigen deal gehouden, dat ik minstens één keer in de week ga sporten. Ik ga dan of naar de sportschool, meedoen aan bootcamp of 5km hardlopen. Ik heb keuzes dus ook geen excuus om het niet te doen!
• Heb ik mijn haar lichter geverfd. Het was in het begin zelfs een beetje grijzig! Ik ga langzamerhand steeds lichter.
• Ik heb foto’s geschoten op een feest, voor een vriend Gerson (en video, bekijk het hier)
• Met vrienden afgesproken en nieuwe mensen ontmoet – zo dankbaar voor dit!
• Ook ben ik naar Engeland geweest voor werk om de nieuwe collectie in te kopen. Oh, ik ben zo blij met mijn baan, het is zó leuk! Wat mij weer naar het volgende onderwerp brengt…

Nieuwe kleren! Oké, werken in een kledingwinkel helpt mijn stopverslaving niet, aangezien ik zelf mag meebepalen wat er in de winkel komt. De laatste tijd heb ik echt goede dingen gescoord en wil ze echt nog allemaal laten zien. Bijvoorbeeld deze lammy jas, rok en laarzen die ik op de foto’s draag zijn nieuw. Wanneer het niet regent en ik iemand kan vinden om mee te shotten, dan zal ik echt meer outfits laten zien. Voor nu, tot snel! xxxx

ENG: Okay, I was pretty optimistic when I wanted to shoot this look. The weather seemed to be working along so I thought, but it was freezing cold. I just wanted to show you how I would wear this skirt. Unfortunately it is too short, which makes it almost impossible to wear it this fall and winter season. I still love it though, but you will probably see it next year again 😉

NL: Oke, ik was best optimistisch voordat ik deze look ging schieten. Het weer leek mee te werken, tenminste dat dacht ik, maar het was ijskoud. Ik wilde jullie laten zien hoe ik deze rok zou dragen. Helaas is die toch iets te kort, waardoor het bijna onmogelijk is om het dit herfst en winterseizoen te dragen. Ik vind hem alsnog leuk, maar je zult hem pas denk ik volgend jaar weer terug zien 😉

ENG: The Jogha Infinity collection came just at the right time. The past months I was so ”distracted” and tired (still all the time) to go to the gym or run. Which is really stupid actually, since I am paying for the gym. I was having a hard time with pulling myself together and I know I just had to go. For me working out is about wanting to feel better in my own skin, which was the case a few months ago when I went 2/3 times a week. Life doesn’t go as you plan, and it shouldn’t be an excuse, but things have happened and I felt too empty mentally and physically done. So I’m out of excuses and I’ll start slowly again with the gym or a run once a week. Time to be a #fitgirl (that eats whatever she wants) again. Fun fact; my best friend Lisa and ex-colleague Kim worked on this collection! I’m so proud of them <3

NL: De Jogha Infinity collectie kwam precies op het juiste moment. De afgelopen maanden was ik zo afgeleid en moe (nog steeds elke dag) om te sporten. Dat is echt dom eigenlijk, want ik betaal nog steeds voor de sportschool. Ik had zeg maar een beetje moeite om mezelf bij elkaar te rapen en ik weet dat ik gewoon moest gaan. Het sporten voor mij was meer om beter in mijn vel te voelen, wat wel zo het geval was toen ik twee tot drie keer naar de sportschool ging. Maar, het leven gaat niet zoals je van plan bent, en dat mag geen excuus zijn, maar er zijn best wat dingen gebeurd. Ik voelde me daardoor echt even mentaal leeg en fysiek ”mwua”. Ik heb geen excuses meer en ik zal langzamerhand het sporten weer gaan oppakken eens in de week. Het is tijd om weer een #fitgirl (die eet wat ze wilt) te worden. Nog een leuk feitje; mijn beste vriendin en ex-collega Kim hebben aan deze collectie gewerkt. Ik ben echt trots op ze! <3
